An Etiquette Question

I don't want this to seem rude. I understand people in wheelchairs are normal people and deserve respect, nay, equality. Spiritually there's nothing that separates us save whatever afterlife bonus you get for having massive forearms.

But we all populate the same bustling metropolis and I can't imagine they really enjoy traveling at slower speeds than the rest of us more than I like being stuck behind them. So is it wrong - if we're heading in the same direction - if I grab their handles and push them towards our mutual goal at speed?

I've loaded on a lot of creatine today.

Hehehehe, that's a damn good question. Is it disrespectful? Applying the old "put yourself in their shoes" principal, I'm still not sure; would I feel demeaned to have someone else - a stranger - pushing me around? Or would I simply be grateful to get to my destination quicker and (presumably) give my arms a rest?

How would I feel (as a relatively able-bodied person) if someone came along and, I don't know, picked me up and carried me somewhere? (Ignoring the unlikeliness of that, given my, er, stature ;) ) I'd probably feel a bit weird at best.

A definite quandry.

I'd ask if they'd like some assistance.

Promoted Entry: I Can't See My House From Here

After nine days of driving, relaxing, hiking and driving some more today I reached what most certainly was the furthest point of the road trip. From Lower Beechmont I drove up the very long, extremely windy Lamington National Park Road to Green Mountains - an experience both twisty and magnificent.
